Today I have some more new music for you by a band out of Los Angeles by the name Saint Motel. This is a band that really likes to play with different sounds and has produced music across the entire rock spectrum. While these guys do tend to focus more on indie music, they have been known to throw down some wicked awesome alternative music. This song is one of those sick mixes of indie pop and alternative rock and a beautiful dash of old timey music. This song is one of the greatest sounds I have heard in a while. There is so much energy in this song, from the first note we hear to the last. This sound and style of music is so unique to what we hear a lot nowadays. This is the kind of music that splurges in old timey influences and loves to dive into mixing the older and more retro sounds with the newer and bolder kind of sounds. Today I have some music for you by a band that has just hit the big scene. Years and Years' latest single has become and absolute hit! This song is one that I can understand being at the top of charts. This song has a perfect blend of the up and coming electronic sound we all love, while also featuring a bit of the pop sound that everyone really seems to enjoy. This is a song that is filled with so much incredible energy and just a great and happy vibe overall. This is a song that has such a great melody, and a sound that is just so much fun. This is a song that has shimmering synths and a full bass beat to back the melody. Of course I am an absolute fan of the trumpets and other winds and horns used in this song. Today's song is by the band Parade of Lights. This is one of those cool and weird psychedelic rock songs that are kind of rare. This is rare because its actually good and balances out the two types of sounds. It has this mellower feel but can make you feel really great which is also pretty darn spectacular. I am actually more excited about today's instrumental song. It is by FAUD and features Wad Ad. It is just so strange and so awesome at the same time. This song gives psychedelia a new meaning because this is like nothing you have probably heard. It is also a pretty energetic and bounding song, but there is this awesome trumpet going on with synth work. Its just a damn cool and awesome song. Today I have new music off the sophomore album released by Zedd. I have to be completely honest, while this album has quite a bit of EDM to it, there are a lot of other influences reflected in this album. And I absolutely love that! With this album, Zedd has defined himself as something other than Zedd, the EDM DJ. He has been able to define himself as Zedd, the musician and artist. In these songs, Zedd takes part in playing the piano and drums, while also serving as the producer. This album is a testament to Zedd's skill in the music world and I think it is something that should be acknowledged. It isn't easy to have to take on all of the roles, and to do them well. But Zedd makes it look and sound so easy, so smooth, and addicting. This song opens up with a beautiful piano verse, played by Zedd himself. Today I have music for you that is that suave kind of boss song. There are songs that make you feel like the most fly person in the world, the kind of songs that make you want to swagger around the streets. And then there are songs that really make you feel like a boss. These are the songs that make you feel really tall and powerful because they have this weirdly sophisticated suave sound to them. Today's song is more the latter. This song is by the band Black Pistol Fire. This is definitely a song that is not well known, nor is it a band that is very popular. Which is kind of a sad thing, but then again, that also kind of allows them to keep doing their own thing which I really like. Today I have music for you by an incredible artist. Coldplay is one of the most accomplished and talented artists I have ever heard. And it takes an artist like Coldplay to be able to compose a song for one of the most emotional, moving, and inspiring movies the world has ever seen. Unbroken is the story of an Olympic athlete turned soldier during World War II, the story of how one man was able to overcome the hardest, harshest, and cruelest time of his life. This is a movie that can be really hard to watch because of the sheer reality of the movie itself. Unbroken is not based on a true story, it IS the true story. This book-turned-movie hits so close to home because of the reality of the events that happened. From one fatal situation to another, Louis Zamperini overcame it all. He defied death. Today's song is by a small band out of the US called Basic Vacation. This song has such a great anthem feel to it with its chant like but also sing along chorus. This is very much like a song one would hear as a summer anthem or just a fun and uplifting song. This song has very bright melodies and soft harmonies that make this song very energetic and almost a bit shoe-gaze. This is a band I would recommend checking out even further. Today's instrumental song is the instrumental version of a song by Walk The Moon. I think both bands have very similar sounds and I though they complimented each other pretty well!
