Keeping It Fresh

It has been an extremely long time since I have posted anything related to alternative rock and just plain good rock in general. So today, I have some music for you by a band that everyone seems to love. Imagine Dragons is a band that has delivered time and time again with singles and albums that we can listen to over again.This song in particular is off their latest album, a beautiful and spectacular new album that is absolutely powerful. This album sounds very much like Imagine Dragons' older work, but is still quite and evolutionary piece of work. There is more synth work involved with this album, and they took a little bit more of a transcendent path with this album. The one thing that always makes Imagine Dragons stand out is the ability they have to make a song have a darker beginning, but then turn it into something bright and wonderful and soul filling when the chorus hits. Today I have some music for you by an extremely accomplished musician and producer. Will.I.Am is an artist who not only writes his own lyrics, but composes his own music and produces all of his songs. He is also notoriously known for being a producer that a lot of other artists love to work with. This song is probably one of my favorite songs by Will.I.Am. Is there a bit more profanity than normal? Maybe. But is it extremely catchy? Most definitely. This song is one of those that you can listen to and just start jamming to. The beat to this song is what really makes it something awesome. This is the kind of song that you could use to come up with some kick ass choreography. Just hearing this song in a club would definitely make me want to get. I absolutely love how completely bumping this song is. This song rests on that underlying bass beat. For most of the song, it acts almost like the melody of the song. The chimes are just some filler to give the song more depth and volume. Will.I....

Today's song is actually a very interesting collaboration done by artists of two completely different styles. Celine Dion and Ne Yo have created a really nice song together and it brings both of their styles together in a very smooth way. I think this is one of the best collaborations out there. Both voices compliment each other so well and they have such a great tonality when singing together. I haven't heard two voices sound so perfect together in a long time. Today I have music for you by Lorde. In honor of the great music festival Austin City Limits, this week all of my music is coming from artists featured in the lineup. Lorde performed today and I thought that it had been a long while since posting a song like this. Lorde has a great ability to make songs that have very complex harmonies between the vocals and the instruments. This song is no different and it has that darkness that you can hear from movie scores. Quite simply put, this song is brilliant. While I am not a huge fan of Lorde's very popular songs, you get to hear gems like this when listening to music other than the radio songs. But to be fair, this is a cover of a song by the English band Tears for Fears. You may have heard of them before because they are pretty awesome. This cover just has such a cinematic feel to it and it has the ability to be used in a number of areas. From movies, to tv shows, to video games, this song can fit. Sorry about yesterday's post! I had a religious event to attend and wasn't able to put out some music for you all. But, today I do have some! It has been an extremely long time since I have posted any Latin or Spanish music. So today, I have some music by the always incredible and one of my favorite foreign artists, Daddy Yankee. This is actually a pretty old song by him but I never get tired of it. This song has so much energy and such a great beat to it. This song cause infectious dancing and if you don't feel the need to get up and dance I bet you caught yourself head banging a little bit or even bobbing. I highly, highly recommend you listen to Daddy Yankee's other music because it is just as good! Today's instrumental song is some reggaeton beats. Today I have such a great, euphoria song for you all by Jus Jack. This song has everything you need for a great trance song-awesome melody, great transitions, and incredible vocals. This does have a Tiesto feel to it, but I really enjoy this song and I was definitely fist pumping in my room and mentally fist pumping in the gym. It is one of those songs that takes you to another state of being which is just the most amazing feel in the world. This is the kind of song that you know will have some wicked remixes and would spend a lot of time being played at clubs and dance venues. Today I have some music for you by a group know as Cheat Codes. This is a perfect song for your summer jams and bright days. This is the kind of song that won't allow you to feel down or low. True to it's name, Cheat Codes is the kind of group that wants you to get to the next level of life and happiness and just all around feel good times as soon as possible and as easily as possible. Which definitely explains why their music is so upbeat and fun and bubbly. This is a kind of shimmering synth pop type of sound, the kind that makes you really feel that joyful and playful nature run through your veins.
