The 1975 and 30 Seconds To Mars

Image
Today I have music by one of my favorite bands of all time, The 1975. Now I posted about these guys a long while back because they were an offbeat band. But then a few months later they became a huge success! And I am so happy to see their climb to success because this band, this is what music has needed. Like Bastille, The 1975 composes songs about the raw emotions and struggles that people feel in life. It seems that everyone I talk to about this band has one song that they can call their own, one that they can connect to on a personal and deeper level. Now I want to make one thing clear-The 1975 is not a proponent teenage angst. The 1975 tends to focus on real life issues without having to consider the propriety that many artists have to battle. And of course, Matt Healy's voice is to die for. As you can see, I really love this band! Today's instrumental song is by another one of my favorite bands, 30 Seconds To Mars. This is one of my favorite songs by them and it showcases...

Tinie Tempah and Audio Network

Image
Today I have music for you by one of my favorite rappers-Tinie Tempah. I know that a lot of people that I know don't really know Tinie Tempah and haven't really heard his music. Which is blasphemous! I love Tinie Tempah's style and he is an extremely talented rapper. He has his own branch on the tree of rap. Its actually pretty awesome because he has a combination of soul choruses and electronic background sounds while having the rap be the main part of the song. A lot of rappers just have the rap and a quick chorus, but this is definitely different and refreshing. I also really like the fact that his English accent is able to show through just a little bit and it adds a sort of bad boy feel to his rap. Yeah, I definitely enjoy Tinie Tempah's music. Today's instrumental song is by Audio Network. These guys specialize in instrumental and cinematic music, and you will be able to hear why they are so incredible. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to commen...

Michael Buble and Blue Jasmine

Image
Today I have some swing and jazz for you all. Michael Buble never fails to impress and enchant with his silky smooth voice. I absolutely love him and I love this song. This rendition really captures that very romantic feel of the 50's and 60's. The romantic nature of what can be considered a more sophisticated lifestyle. I feel like this has the feel of what you would hear at a very fancy event or hotel performance. Either way, this is an amazing song to slow dance to and just feel attuned to the music in a way that makes you want to sway but also maintain an ease and tranquility. Confusing, I know, but once you hear the song I think it will make more sense. Today's instrumental song is from a fantastic movie called Blue Jasmine. This also has that smooth piano feel to it, one that really is incredible. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Oscar Issac & Marcus Mumford and Bob Dylan

Image
Today I have music for you from the movie Inside Llewyn Davis. I am not going to lie, this movie has one of the greatest blues, acoustic, and guitar albums I have ever heard. This song in particular features the voices of the main actor, Oscar Issac and the incredibly talented, Marcus Mumford. This song is performed at the very beginning and end of the film, which makes gives this movie a complete circular plot. Its nice to show how the origins are so similar to the ending. This song has extremely beautiful acoustic work, and it has a very distinct sound to it. Mumford and Issac's voices blend so well together, one providing a folksy sound and the other providing a soulful blusey voice. I highly recommend you go listen to this soundtrack because it is amazing. Today's instrumental song is by the famous Bob Dylan. This man has such amazing talent and I can see why he had such an influence on the world of music. This song has a strong guitar strum as its main theme and a great ha...

2pac and Avicii

Image
Today I have music for you by one of the greatest rappers of all time-2pac. This guy is a legend, an idol, and an icon for the entire music industry. This song in particular is so dang catchy and it is very hard to get it out of your head. But, that's a good thing because this song is awesome! I love the way it starts, with an electronic feel mixed with a country sound. This is one of those songs that can get you dancing in the first ten seconds. This song has an infectious beat and background melody, and of course, Dr. Dre and 2pac give us their incredible lyrics. Even to this day, 2pac never fails to make things better. Today's instrumental song is by Avicii. This song is pretty popular, but I thought it had a good mix of this electronic, country, and beastly beat thing going on. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Jupiter Rising and Thievery Corporation

Image
Today I have a pretty chilled out song for you all by a duo known as Jupiter Rising. This song has a really good balance between an electronic feel and a calmer, more chill vibe. This song is actually more of an ambient style which creates a certain atmosphere to it. This song also uses a lot of synth, from a synth beat to using synthesizing keyboards. What is nice about this song is that it has a good energy to it, but lacks the high intensity of traditional electronic music. The vocals compliment each other very well, a mellow and deep male voice complimented by a higher pitched and soothing female voice. This song in general is a really good one, and is a song that I have no trouble listening to at anytime of the day. Today's instrumental song is by a really good electronic group called Thievery Corporation. This song has that very mellow drum beat and just an overall calming feel. This song is definitely what I would call chillstep. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel fr...

OneRepublic and I Am Number Four (Adele)

Image
Today I have music for you by OneRepublic. Now what I love about this song is how rock n' roll it sounds while also being a very modern sound. There are elements that are in sync with the usual style of OneRepublic, softer sounds and melodies. However, this song has so many great moments of a heavier and crazier rock sound. There is a rougher tone to Ryan Tedder's voice and he even gets to a growl during the chorus. There is a heavy bass drum beat that serves as the heartbeat of the song and that certain kind of intensity and energy you get from this beat would be entirely lost from the song without this heartbeat. It think this song showcases a different side of Ryan Tedder's voice and I thoroughly enjoy that. Today's instrumental song became extremely famous with the release of the movie I Am Number Four. This song has actually  been done by Adele and is what put her on the radar of American music. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
