Mikky Ekko has such a beautiful and smooth voice that is able to create an intensity about it that is very different from the intensity that comes from strong vocals. He does have very strong vocals, but they are also soft and tranquil. This song in particular showcases his incredible skill with the upper register and falsetto, a falsetto that is actually very powerful. This song has such a great feel to it with the pounding drum beat in the background. Today I have an awesome song for you by the group Cash Cash. What really makes this song great is the vocalization done by Johnny Rzeznik. For those of you who don't know, he is the lead singer of The Goo Goo Dolls, which I find to be kind of an important band in the fact that they have been around for so long. His vocals have this great subtle rasp to it that adds so much more to the synth work and electronic sound in the background. I personally think Rzeznik's voice fits the style that Cash Cash has really well. Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Adjustment Bureau. I am going to be honest, this has no electronic work to it at all. But there is a stylistic element that is not so different from that of the first song. Today I have an extremely cool song by the artist know as Big Black Delta. This song is one of the most unique sounds I have ever heard! It has this cool jazz-ish feel to it while also having an electronic feel and indie vocals. I love the use of wind instruments in this song because of the way they are used to provide a complimenting melody to a thumping drum beat and long notes. Plus, this music video is one of the coolest things ever! I really love this song through and through. The sound is just so good! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Aladdin. Today I have music by a group that is starting to get pretty popular-Disclosure. I can see why this song got so popular, mainly because it is so freaking great! This song has a chill energy to it that has a sound that makes you want to dance. This is an awesome club song in my opinion because its one of those that is dynamic and can cause you to dance in so many ways with so many people. The full bodied vocals and awesome electronic work make for a very very good song. Today's instrumental song is by an artist known as Gemini. He is very talented and has a wide variety of skills as a DJ, singer, producer, and owner of a record label. Pretty impressive! Today's song is by British DJ known as Duke Dumont. This has a very different kind of dance feel to it. It really like it though because it has a chill background but also has that really good beat to it. The vocalist also has a really nice voice and I like the style she sings with along with the melodies and synth of song. This is one of those songs that have so many styles of dancing you can do with it from the bobbing to the full body motion. Today I have some nice dance music for you all by the incredible John Martin. This is actually a remixed version by Tiesto and these two artists together make for an awesome song! The beats are absolutely awesome and the climax drop is so sick! I couldn't stop bouncing to this song and I just had so much fun listening to this song. One of the best EDM vocalists with the greatest DJ makes for some of the most amazing sounds ever! Today's instrumental song is by Markus Schulz. This song has a really good energy to it. Today's song is by one of my favorite solo artists of all time, known very fondly by me and many others as Jason Mraz. He is one of the most talented people I have heard the pleasure of hearing live. His talent has so many avenues, from his lyric writing to his ballad lyrical style, incredible guitar playing, beautifully angelic voice, and amazing people skills. He is just kind of the most perfect man! This song in particular showcases another phenomenal side of Jason Mraz because it shows his dexterity of mixing his reggae style with rap. The only other person I know who can do this well is Ed Sheeran. The way Jason Mraz uses his voice and the skill with which he wields it is awe inspiring and to top it all off, this man sounds waaaaaay better live than in recordings. Which is why I am posting the live version of this song. The recordings take away so much from his voice and yet his recordings are still phenomenal. Which says a lot about his voice in person.
